Acadiam’s goal is to make a paradigm shifting impact to those at the margins of our community.
We do this by developing meaningful, holistic and engaging programs. Programs that build the understanding and skills needed to join the workforce using teaching and philosophy based on our traditions.
A tradition where an elder imparts life knowledge to their ‘apprentices’ through showing, teaching and taking them on journeys through stories.
At the core of our program is our Revelation Day that ‘walks in participants shoes’ to help them understand the ‘why’ of getting a job and then defining ‘what they can be good at?’ before moving on to the ‘how’ of getting a job.
The results are jobseekers who understand the end benefit for themselves, their family and their contribution to community through gaining and maintaining a job.
At Acadiam we don’t want to just put jobseekers into jobs – we want to build careers for them.
We know that Australia’s capacity to change is not about getting one person into a job. It’s as much about keeping those people in their jobs for their whole career.
Taking guidance from our traditions ‘What you see, you can be’, our model relies on our participants becoming teachers themselves so that they themselves can help the next generation of jobseekers.
Through ongoing teaching, both digital and face-to-face, we continue to nurture and build our cohorts so they can continue to grow, upskill and
Acadiam provides the glue between the jobseekers and the myriad of Government services and programs that exist.
Acadiam ’s focus on every individual jobseeker is key to helping them find the right support they need.
Our ‘wrap-around’ service allows us to access Government services and support that is right and best for each jobseeker.
Acadiam actively works with other job partners and employers through our dynamic employment ecosystem that brings all stakeholders; job services, support services and employers into the one easy to access network.
Acadiam also works with corporates to help them understand how they can support and source workers for their employment needs.
Importantly, having set-up, worked and used these Government services ourselves, we understand how to maximise their effectiveness.
